About Me
My name is Zakiyah. I was born in France where I currently live with my husband and two children. My parents are from Vietnam. After obtaining my first master degree, I have worked as a teacher and as a vice principal. I have occupied a position of Teacher Counsellor and had to guide and train the teacher team on pedagogy for typical children and atypical ones (ADHD, autism, dyslexia, etc). Following my Educational Psychologist Certificate, I have been working as a Therapist for children, teenagers, families and female adults.
While working, I have been studying to obtain my second Master Degree in Psychology and
As of the psychology field, I worked with people with motor and mental handicaps, autism, psychiatric issues and with social services to help troubled teenagers.
I am really keen on helping children and teenagers to find a way to live their life with psychological and spiritual tools to be equipped through ordeals in life, whether it be in the academic world or social world within their own family and peers. That’s why, I provide them with advice on metacognition, on more efficient ways of learning, as well as on different therapeutic tools.
Moreover, being a mother and having worked with children, I really think that it is important to accompany children in their well-being and sometimes it starts with motherhood. That’s why I offer services such as Parent Counselling mostly inspired on Bowlby’s theory of attachment which is my area of Scientific Research.
I offer services that are adapted to each individual case. The needs, the psychological background, the family and cultural background are different for everyone but shape the person's basis and essence that need to be viewed and analysed in therapy. That is why, with my multiple expertise (learning, teaching, cognitive psychology, child development psychology, clinical psychology, neuropsychology), I can provide people with proper counselling while respecting who they are and need.
Services:
Psychopedagogy therapy (learning disabilities, ADHD, dyslexia & learning methodology).
Positive psychology therapy.
Parenting counselling.
Therapy for anxiety, low self-esteem, lack of motivation.
