Tasneem Chopra
A Cross-cultural Consultant, Tasneem Chopra was listed as one of '50 Women you Need to Know' in 2017's Herald Sun International Women's Day count, following a listing in The Australian Magazine's 'Top 10 Thinkers' and 'The Age's Top 50 Movers & Shakers' in previous years. Her consultancy addresses issues of leadership, communication, diversity, cultural competence and intersectionality across private and public spheres. For her efforts in this capacity she was recently awarded an OAM (Order of Australia Medal).
A published author and contributor to academic journals, Tasneem has also presented at conferences and Festivals within Australia and overseas, including at the IABC Communications for a Better World Conference in Bahrain (2019) and the Bradford Literature Festival, UK (2019). She is also a Board Director for Ambulance Victoria, The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), and outgoing Director of the Luke Batty Foundation, NOW Australia and Chair of the Australian Muslim Women's Centre for Human Rights.
