Sheikh Yousef Bakeer was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. He attended Al-Azhar primary school and became a hafiz at the age of 7. He graduated from Al-Azhar University with a Bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies at the age of 22.
Since then he has given da'wa in various countries such as Spain, Denmark, Italy and is fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese, Arabic and Italian languages.
Since 2017 he has served as a teacher with Manara Institute and as the Youth Director for the Islamic Center of Passaic County. He holds a Ijaza in Quran, pursuing a PhD in Islamic Studies and a Masters degree in chaplaincy. Currently he serves as the youth director of Valley Ranch Islamic Center TX. He has experience doing youth work in prisons.
