About Me
Hi, my name is Saba Danawala. I have been practicing as a therapist both overseas and in Australia for almost 5 years. I am trained in an integrative counselling approach, which means I use person-centered, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed modalities. These include cognitive and dialectical behavior therapies, schema therapy, and somatic psychotherapy among others.
I am a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association and the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as a yoga alliance teacher and practitioner (RYT-200, RYPT-85). I hold a Advanced Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling from the UK and Master of Public Health from the US.
These paths have led me to develop a unique blend between evidence-based approach alongside affirming the mind-body-soul needs of your therapeutic journey. I affirm all clients' faith practices and see therapy as a complement and catalyst for strengthening faith.
My areas of interest include neurodevelopmental and intergenerational trauma, recovery from childhood sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, coping with chronic conditions (including women’s and men’s health issues), grief, and building healthy relationships (within couples and families).
I work with individuals and couples.
