About Me
I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, accredited by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body. I also hold a Master's degree in Psychology . I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
As an integrative counsellor, I integrate concepts from the psychodynamic and integrative models and work with what you know and can tell me about yourself, your experiences and your history, to uncover the roots of your concerns.
I have good clinical experience working as a counsellor with a diverse range of clients within the NHS and private practice. I value the individual’s uniqueness that stems from the diversity of each individual’s experiences and understanding. I understand that therapy is different for everyone and is an empowering space where you can explore your feelings and work through your emotions to gain valuable insight. I believe that the emotional quality of the therapeutic relationship matters the most in enabling you to understand your own life story, find your solution and heal, rather than specific techniques. Therefore, the relationship between you and I is central to my approach as I aim to provide a warm, safe, welcoming and non-judgemental space in which you can feel acknowledged and heard.
I am dedicated to inclusive counselling; valuing the uniqueness of each other whilst recognising the differences we bring, as therapist and client, to the therapeutic relationship.
