I am a General Physician and a Childbirth Educator Alhamdulillah. I am an Indian and have lived all my life in Saudi Arabia. After completing my Medical degree, I got married and was pregnant with my first baby! Was really excited and worried at the same time. As a doctor all I could picture was everything that could go 'wrong' in a pregnancy and during birth. I used to consider pregnancy as an 'illness' which needed treatment. Alhamdulillah I found the world of Natural birthing! I understand that we as Muslims (and sensible humans) should always take the middle road, neither of the extremes. I am an advocate of Evidence based birthing, neither complete Medical control of a natural process, nor refusal of all/any medical help which might be life saving! If you are pregnant or planning to be soon Insha'Allah, this course/session is like a non negotiable. Every pregnant mother/couple has the right and obligation (I think) to know what is going on in their body and what to expect on labor day so they know how to stay calm and be a part of the decision making. I provide Childbirth Education classes to expectant mothers. Depending on where you are in pregnancy and what are your expectations, we can curate the number of sessions you would need.
