She has gone through a personal journey of bringing her authentic self as a Muslim in finding her purpose in life and in her career. She has 15+ years of industry experience working for Fortune 500 companies in various roles, including consultant, engineer, manager, and has for years, coached middle school, high school, college students and young professionals on how to find that connection between their identity and their purpose in navigating their career paths. She has also coached students and professionals on improving their communication skills, confidence, and executive presence in various stages of their careers.
She was inspired to become a youth and parenting coach from her professional experience working with youth and her personal experience as a parent. As a single mother of pre-teen and teenage girls, Asumini has learned first-hand how to navigate the art of compassionate parenting, while going through a high conflict divorce, balancing the demands of a career, family relationships and community responsibilities.
She believes for youth to begin to know who they are, their purpose and have the confidence that is essential in navigating life, it truly begins with the relationship with their parents. Her work leads to a mindset shift that nurtures the connection in the relationship between parent and child.
