About Me
My name is Anisa, and I live in California with my husband and two boys. I am an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and a firm believer in how we live our today is what determines the quality of our overall lives. Which means our everyday lifestyle, habits, reactions, and responses determine the quality of our life and health. We might feel that the food on our plates, the activities we engage in, how much we move our bodies, the quality of thoughts in our mind, does not have a deeper impact. But that is not true!! Through my work as a health coach, I want the conversations in our households to shift from disease management to disease prevention and maintaining health. Its time we realize how we are either promoting or sabotaging our health with the choices we make. Finally tying aspects of mindfulness, selfcare, clarity of mind, meaningful human and social interactions, exercise, sleep, weight management, stress management we can complete our health puzzle. I want all women to become more aware and empowered around their health choices and behaviors. To listen to their bodies and to tune into their nutritional, physical and emotional needs to live their best lives.
I provide nutrition, health and lifestyle counselling especially for women dealing with weight gain, weight related health issues and chronic stress . My counselling sessions are based on weight loss and stress management strategies in an integrated and sustainable way. In my work with my clients I apply the principles of optimizing Nutrition, consistent Exercise, developing a mind and body response to all the stressors, as a way to effectively deal with the weight and the stress related health conditions. I help my clients understand the pivotal role nutrition and exercise plays in weight management. Furth...
Focus Area
My key areas of focus are weight loss and stress management. I have a 90 day program, designed specifically for women in the age group of 25 – 45 who are struggling with their weight and the stress in their lives.
I believe, women in these years go through many life altering events and sometimes these events or situations throws them off. They often lose a grip of their own self and what they stand for. The stressors of everyday life take over and the bigger picture is hard to see. It leads to disturbances in the balance in their bodies, which takes a physical manifestation of moderate to severe health issues leading to weight gain. The stresses of everyday life only make it difficult to control or manage their weight. Stress also leads to hormonal imbalances, gut issues and unhealthy eating patterns and choices, leading to more weight gain. It becomes a viscous cycle which seems hard to break.
