Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, my name is Sumayyah (Umm Omar). ​I studied my doula certification under Nakhlah Childbirth International in 2015 and now I am the director of the organisation. ​I am a Mizan Therapist and passionate about natural alternative medicines. I am currently travelling the Islamic world. My passions in life are attaining Islamic knowledge, raising my children and offering comfort and care through childbirth to my beloved sisters in Islam both in my motherland and my homelands ;). ​When I became Muslim in 2001 I understood that I inherited many many sisters from all around the world and I finally felt I found that large family I always wanted. I am always trying to think of ways to connect with my sisters and offer them my help. I will still being doing this online for sisters even if we are not residing in the same country via social media and online workshops. ​I realised that a labouring woman needs to be focused and not have to worry about anything else except remembrance of Allah and the birth of the gift He SWT has given her. I tried to facilitate that for her and found that I was able to benefit them in ways that they would be forever thankful. To all my sisters, I love for the sake of Allah.
