About Me
Huda Nejim
Huda Nejim Al-Asedi treats as therapy, learning a new skill, or practicing muscle memory. The aim is to make art more accessible to the public of all ages through workshops and exploration sessions (see photos above) applying illustration drawings, paintings, prints, fluid art stickers, and also handmade rubber stamps.
An architectural designer by training, she is a visual artist and an art educator by heart. She is commonly known as Cikgu Huda, by her students and participants (Cikgu means Teacher in Malay). A science and art enthusiast, she believes a holistic understanding of art comes with learning the science behind art forms and cultural traditions.
Throughout her years in architecture and education schools, she has acquired skills for running classes and training with an artistic eye and a multidisciplinary approach to education. She has collaborated with a variety of clients ranging from schools, corporations, communities, families, and individuals.
Huda was a 2015 Fellow for Teach For Malaysia, part of the Teach For All Global Education Network. She taught for two years at a rural high-need school in East Malaysia.
